My boyfriend and I spotted this place a few weekends ago as we were walking around Sausalito. Realizing there was an actual beach in Sausalito was exciting, and even more exciting was the fact that it made for a perfect kayaking entrance into the Bay, with a rental place right behind us. We made plans to make a trip back to Sausalito to try it out!

A couple weeks later on an amazing Saturday afternoon, we headed over to Sea Trek and got hooked up with a couple open top kayaks. Sea Trek offers single and double open top kayaks, or traditional Necky and Valley kayaks, as well as high quality wet suits, paddling jackets, fitted life jackets, and water-proof pants if you would like them. The staff is super friendly, laid back, and helpful. They helped get us set us up with all the gear we would need, gave us a mini-refresher course on paddling, and made sure we were comfortable before we headed out - considering I haven't done it in about a year and have never paddled in the ocean/bay. We did a scenic Sausalito paddle around the houseboats, stopped by the seal cove and headed back toward the main part of Sausalito. We had an awesome 2-hr trip and saw a lot of wildlife. At one point a seal was swimming right next to my boyfriend's kayak and after I got all excited he swam over and popped his cute little head up next to me to say hello. It was the most amazing thing!! It definitely made our trip worthwhile.

*Tips: Wear shorts and flip flops or something you don't mind getting wet.
